What should I do if my child knocks out a permanent tooth?

Find it, hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse gently if dirty, and try to reseat it in the socket — or keep it in milk. Minutes matter; call immediately.

What if a baby tooth gets knocked out?

Do NOT reinsert it. Comfort your child, save the tooth to show us, and call.

How do I help my child's toothache at home?

Rinse with warm water, floss gently to rule out trapped food, use a cold compress for swelling. Don't put aspirin on the gums.

What should I do about a chipped or broken tooth?

Save any pieces, rinse with warm water, cold compress, call us.

When should I go straight to the ER instead?

For serious facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, a possible jaw injury, or trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the emergency room first — then call us for follow-up care.
